Valorant Official Launch Date

The Valorant closed beta has now ended as of May 29th. So what now? Game maker Riot Games announced the Valorant official launch date will be on June 2nd.

Early Success for Valorant

The closed beta format that Riot chose to implement seemed to have worked. In order to get access to the game for the beta release, players had to watch streamers on Twitch for the chance to win a key that granted access to the beta. On the first day of the beta, April 7th, the peak viewership for Valorant streams was 1,726,074 viewers. While viewership has dropped off since, it is fair to assume that Riot Games has built up a sizable player base for the upcoming full release.
